M4 – How Do I Renew?

Dues are $10 per year, and you must be a resident of The Villages to attend our in-person meetings.  Non-residents of The Villages are welcome to join but our in-person meetings are held in the Saddlebrook Recreation Center which is only available to residents of The Villages and their guests.

Sign-up, annual renewal, and dues payment are done online only.

Here are the steps to renew:


Go to our membership site here and login via the Member Log In link.



Enter your Username or email address and Password.

If you forgot your password, just click on the “Lost your Password?” link and an email will be sent to you to reset it.  DO NOT keep trying wrong passwords or else you will be locked out for 24 hours!  Please just click on the “Lost your Password” link to reset it if you forgot it.
NOTE: Some email providers like Embarqmail, CenturyLink and others may think that email is Spam or just completely block it.  So check your Spam or Junk folder.  If you don’t see it within a couple of minutes, send us an email – – and we will reset it for you manually.



After successfully logging in, you will see your name in the upper right of the screen as shown below.

From here you can click on the Membership link at the top of the screen to renew.  We’ll do that in a minute but first, let’s click on the “My Account” button down the bottom to confirm that it has the correct info.

This is where you can update your address or phone number if that info has changed since you last renewed.

This is also where you go to change your password.










Here you will find all the info you entered when you originally joined.  It also displays your Membership Ends date.  In this example, my test membership account does not expire until Feb. 17, 2023 but I am going to renew anyway just to show the process.

You do not have to wait until your membership expires to renew.  It will add one year to the expiration date so in this case it will show February of 2024 when we finish.

As mentioned above, you click on “Membership” at the top of the screen to start the renewal process.

Since you are already logged in, you will see your Profile info shown below as you scroll down.






PLEASE NOTE:  You are warned in bright red letters to click the Check out button JUST ONCE!
As you can see below, it is actually there in bright red letters — TWICE!!  If you click the PayPal Checkout button twice, your credit card will get billed twice.  Our treasurer then has to follow-up with you to either issue a credit thru PayPal or extend your membership another year.




After clicking on the PayPal Checkout button, the transaction has to go from our site to PayPal to your credit card company and back to our site again.  So PLEASE JUST CLICK ONCE!  This lag time is one of the reasons we are moving to a new membership system but until that system is rolled out — JUST CLICK ONCE — PLEASE!!


You can use your credit card – Visa, MasterCard or Discover – or your PayPal account to check out.




CHECK OUT via PayPal

After clicking on the yellow PayPal button you are directed to PayPal’s website to enter your credit card info.

NOTE:  You MAY see the screen at left with your email address (I blocked mine out in red)  if you previously used PayPal for another transaction since they do save some info in your browser’s cache.

Just click on the “Pay with Debit or Credit Card button and proceed with the checkout process.  It will take you to the screen below that you would see if you have not used PayPal recently.












Here is where you fill in the PayPal Guest Checkout section with your credit card info. After filling out their form, click on “Continue as Guest”. You will then be re-directed over to the PayPal website to enter your credit card information.  You should see a screen similar to the one below.  NOTE:  PayPal has recently changed their Checkout policies.  In some cases you may not see the Guest Checkout option as shown below.  You may need to create a PayPal account to process the payment.  Instead of the Continue as Guest option, you will have to use the Create Account & Continue button.





You will then be returned to the TVAUG membership website and see the yellow highlighted message below.


If you go back into your My Account page, you will see that your new Membership Ends date.

Note that mine now says February 2024 as I said it would above.

You will also receive a couple of confirmation emails…




This one comes from the TVAUG membership site.  Again, depending on your email provider, you may find this in your SPAM folder.  In some cases Embargmail. CenturyLink and others block it completely.




Within a few minutes – depending on how busy PayPal is – you will receive a confirmation of payment email from them like the one below.  Notice the last line with the arrow pointing at it below.  Your credit card statement will show a $10 payment to *VILLAGESAUG
