TVAUG MEETINGS

Our club has a Members-Only in-person Help Session at the Saddlebrook Rec Center on the 1st Tuesday afternoon of each month except over the Summer months and holidays.  These in-person Help sessions depend on the number of volunteers we can get as helpers. We are VERY short-handed in that department.  Please let us know if you can lend a hand.  If not enough resources are available for a particular month, we will only have our Zoom Help session.

We also have an online Presentation each month via Zoom – TVAUG TUESDAYS at 1:30 as described below.  These Zoom meetings typically last about an hour. Details about upcoming meetings are emailed to our membership via MailPoet. In addition, meeting details are in our Forum on its calendar.

NOTE: The Presentation meetings are usually recorded and can be accessed on our Presentations page a couple of days later. We DO NOT record the Help or Special Interest Group meetings.

1st TUESDAYS

6:30-8:00PM
Saddlebrook Rec Center

DATE: October 3 – Saddlebrook Rec Center Canceled

FORMAT: Members help each other with issues on their Apple devices. You MUST be an active member to attend.  Please Join or Renew here if necessary prior to coming.  We DO NOT take new memberships or renewals in-person.  It is all done online now!  Please check your renewal date — it’s under your My Account info here.

NOTE: Individual sessions should typically be held to a MAX of 10-15 minutes so we can help as many members as possible.  In-person meetings are ONLY for members with Active Memberships! We are in dire need of Helpers for these In-Person sessions.  Please use the Contact Us form here if you can help.  Sorry but if we do not have enough helpers, these sessions will be canceled.

As Bruce mentioned in his August 28th forum post here, we had to cancel our Sept. 5th in-person Help Session meeting at Saddlebrook because we didn’t have enough helpers in town. In upcoming months there is a good chance that we may very well be in the same situation.  There are some of our core helpers who may still be up north and others who used to be regular helpers that are no longer able to do so for various reasons.

*** We can not do these in-person sessions if there are only 3 or 4 people able to lend a hand!! ***

So if you’re able to lend a hand for our in-person Help sessions or would like to offer your services in some other technical areas — please ask if you’re good with the techie stuff-:) , please either reply in the forum here or if you’d rather do it more confidentially, you can use our website’s Contact Us – Support page here.

Many computer clubs across the US — not only Apple ones — are getting smaller and smaller, and cutting back on services they are able to offer. I sincerely hope we don’t go down that path. This is YOUR club and its support is all done by VOLUNTEERS. So please — if you can, please help us to keep this club going.
