Touch ID Tip

Nov 18, 2018

Do you know someone who doesn’t use Touch ID because his/her fingerprints “just don’t work”? Rescue that person from password tyranny by sharing this tip.

Recently I visited Customs and Border Protection to be interviewed and fingerprinted so I can be designated a “known traveler” for TSA purposes.

While there I wondered aloud how they would handle my sister’s forthcoming visit because she claims to have no fingerprints. The agent gave me a knowing smile and stated emphatically that everybody has fingerprints. After I was convinced that the government’s scanner works for everybody, I asked about Touch ID problems and learned the secret. All you have to do is touch your finger to your forehead before using Touch ID because what’s needed is the tiniest trace of oil.

I shared that info with my sister, and Touch ID has been 100% successful for her ever since.

Pass it on!
